1950s Wilhelm Knoll Extendable Daybed
The oldest German brand of upholstered furniture, Knoll was founded in 1865 when the patriarch of the Knoll dynasty Wilhelm Knoll first opened the doors of his leather shop. Over the centuries, Knoll's philosophy has made a mark on history, using first class craftsmanship to develop modern classic furniture.
This beautiful extending sofa was designed in the 1950s by Wilhelm Knoll for Knoll Antimott. As you might expect from a German manufacturer, this daybed has some amazing functionality! By pulling out one of the armrests, and inserting one of the back cushions into the space, the sofa converts to a daybed. The gradient of the extended section is adjustable. The backrest can be adjusted forwards and backwards to change the depth for sitting, sleeping or simply relaxing.
The warm cherry wood frame has been cleaned and oiled, and the cushions have been reupholstered in a light grey 100% British wool.
The sleeping space is about 200 cm wide and 80 cm deep.A remarkable addition to your modern environment.
