Bruno Mathsson Eva Chair
Like the Finnish designer Alvar Aalto, Mathsson was one of the first Scandinavians to embrace undulating, biomorphic forms in furniture. His early pieces such as the “Eva” chair incorporate dramatically flowing bent beechwood frames, making them some of the most instantly recognisable works of 20th-century design.
The original jute webbing has been professionally cleaned. The birch frame is in very good vintage condition.
This seventy year old chair has the factory brand (Firma Karl Mathsson made in Varnamo Sweden) and the Mathsson's design firm (Bruno Mathsson Design made in Sweden). This is a great collectors piece and it's rare to find one in such good condition.
